Last Week

We only had class on two subjects and I begged off on one and went to a meeting in Marikina. In CISM I reported on Miniature Ingestible Capsule which is an imaging device for viewing the upper gastrointestinal tract. The teacher was pleased with our reports but I was not able to show them the photos and videos that I got since I left my flash disk at home.
In the AGRI 204 class, my classmates finished their take home exercises in the class while I sped off to the frat's alumni meeting in Marikina.
It's my first(!) time to go to Marikina and I was pleased with what I saw. The city vet there whom is a brod is doing a very good job on his rabies program. Their program for dog registration is a pioneer and should be adopted by all the Philippine cities and municipalities. It may be hard though because it takes more than will to be able to implement such ordinances and laws to Filipinos.
Incidentally, while in the meeting he announced that a pitbull attacked an old woman and a toddler. The woman died.

STAT

As I requested, we won't have class in our Stat class next week. We have taken up just one method of analysis today. Some of my classmates complained of their long travel time going home so we were dismissed early.
In Economics, the Dean just finished discussing basic economic concepts which is still a part of the first module that we are studying. Next week we'll have a post-test for the module, which I think will just be a repeat of the pre-test.
In computer class, we had our first meeting and he discussed some concepts on computers specifically on multimedia. Each of us were assigned to report on application of multimedia in real life. Mine would be about the use of computers and multimedia in medicine.
Also, I requested that we have our group photo taken so we had a photo session after our Stat class. I opined that it's purpose would be as a basis of comparison of our looks (the before-after looks) after we graduate from the program.

This is my second weekend attending graduate school classes. I'm currently enrolled in four subjects. Three of which are part of the core subjects for the course I'm in, one is a cognate. Whatever that means.
I'm done with my report for Biochemistry. I reported on properties of water and about buffers and their mechanisms.
We had a pre-test in my Economics class for the first module. I didn't have undergrad economics course so I have really no idea what that test is about. :)
In Research Methods, I pissed off the teacher by asking anything I could think of.

Library

I went to the university today to go to the University Library and acquire a library card and ID. Without knowing their schedule, I went there this afternoon. What I didn't know is that they don't process ID's during afternoon! And I brought the wrong photo. Instead of 1 x 1 ID photo I presented 2 x 2 photos. :) My Library ID was not released but I was still able to borrow a book in Statistics for photocopying.
By the way, this reference book is not available in National Bookstore in SM Dasma. I don't know why.
I also consulted with my professor in Biochem regarding my report on Saturday.
